Fire should work as shelters and bedrolls. You place it and use it until you leave it or dismantle it. You can use it as many times you want. Having a burned out and on fire graphic.

Making custom ice holes where you want it also missing. If you have the tools you can place it on frozen water and its vanish after some time if not used.

I like your idea but in some place you can't dig a hole.(cause ice is thick there.)
but maybe when they add shovel to game. it could be possible
