Personally, I would love it if the world of the long dark expanded to the point where we have room for all of these things, and more.

What I would really like to see is some more industrial locations, like a gravel pit, saw mill, open pit mine, oil pipeline, railroad terminal/shipping port within a larger town, etc etc

I could go on all night!

i like your idea!
Specially about railroad terminal !

Thanks! We sort of have one (train unloading and log sort) but a proper freight terminal would be very interesting!

I would also love to see a long stretch of railroad track in good condition, and a small pump cart, a speeder, railbus (or a crummy, like the one in the ravine!) that we have to use to traverse a massive distance to a new area.

seems like a great idea!

@alone sniper Welcome to the forums! ^_^

As a general note, polls usually work better with very simple options. Given the nature of what can be added to the game you can get a very large list of items very quickly :)

Additionally, your list does contain several locations/things that are already in the game. That being said, there's always room for more :winky:

It's fine. Remember, what you think of as tracks and caravans may be very different from my idea. I can also tell you're European very easily though. "Caravans" have a very different name in North America ^_^

I need your help dude

come over to the combat mechanics thread right quick. :)

Thanks for notices about Caravans.

I think an oil pipeline could be cool with a long stretch of road littered with some trucks,HGV's and a rest stop/inn location, and if they kept it at the shoreline they could even put in a sub with the tower poking up through the ice,far out to sea so you would have to navigate through the thin patches of ice to get to it

Was thinking a good location for I would be that great big stretch of road heading north from DP passing east of TWM on the great bear island map

I like you idea about vehicle and oil pipeline.
Specially if you can found fuel there.

I said it in another thread, I'll say it here - airstrip! I mean, Will is a bush pilot. Pilots travel in aircraft. Aircraft need places to start and land. I assume that the plane was at least descending at the moment of the crash, considering the crash didn't kill Will, so there must be an airstrip nearby.

Could come with a small radio tower and a shack for whoever operates it. Not much loot, but maybe there's a small hangar/workshop with tools and materials and a small kiosk-like shop similar to but way smaller than the Quonset gas station. Would also come with pretty/eerie lights when the aurorae are added. Considering how much open space there would be in such an area, wildlife would quickly become a problem to balance the benefits of such a place.

Could have a road connection to other regions, maybe a small village nearby.

+1.
maybe if plane wasn't in bad situation.
we can have a new challenge.

fix it and move!

I want none of the above. I just want wilderness, more wilderness, endless wilderness. A map that I can never memorize because there are few landmarks, it's large and unforgiving.

If you crash a bush plane in BC, Canada chances are you will be hundreds of km from the nearest man made structure besides a forestry road.

While im all up for airstrip, theres actually one(it could be an airplane graveyard as well, but who would build it that far away from anywhere) in promotional screenshots, theres logical fallacy in your argumentation.

While Will is a pilot and he crash-landed, he also flies a light plane and those can glide(to a degree) if needed and experienced pilot can survive even if plane died(unless it falls apart, losing most of it aerodynamic properties) rather high up.

Huh, I haven't seen those - thanks for the info though, I'll look them up! As for aerodynamics, again, thanks for the info, I didn't know that.

Its called deadstick landing, where plane is forced to land without any propulsion. And considering that even passenger airliners, like rather common Boeing 700-series are capable of doing it then Wills Beaver, that is a lot lighter and maneuverable(essentially it was designed for crash-landings without power 8) ), shouldnt have much trouble if guided by a competent pilot.

For a rather famous example of a deadstick landing Google the "Gimly Glider" an Air Canada plane that ran out of fuel and landed on a converted air strip ^_^

Interesting story, thanks! Glad to see noone got hurt.

An amusing side-note to the Gimli story is that after Flight 143 had landed safely, a group of Air Canada mechanics were dispatched to drive down and begin effecting repair. They piled into a van with all their tools. They reportedly ran out of fuel en-route, finding themselves stranded somewhere in the backwoods of Manitoba
