question Do cured hides degrade?

I got the impression that my cured wolf/bear hides degrade over time but the cured guts do not? Is this correct?

From what I have seen that is correct.

Thus far I have not observed either cured hides or cured gut decaying. They both decay if you do not cure them.

So I did a test this afternoon on this.  Hide and gut (both cured) were degrading.

It also may be that they were degrading during the curing process... I will leave them there for few more game days and let you know if they degrade any more than that.

They will decay during the curing process so, yes, wait a few in game days and check them again. Once cured they shouldn't decay further.

You are correct sir.  4 game days later and no more degrade.

Nope. Once cured they won't degrade. If your question is how much they degrade during curing, you can only cure "indoors" (the interior of caves is counted as indoors for this purpose).  

The quality of hides doesn't matter in the long run.  You can cure a hide at 0% and it won't disappear or anything. I'm not even sure it will in a container. Just cure it, it'll still work.

Thank you, so it is fine to throw them outside once they're cured and they won't go bad? (I just have a very cramped apartment at the moment in TWM)
