Animals To Add To Game...

Greetings,

While these are not comprehensive, some add no value in terms of hunting, some maybe on the list to come (or in game where I have not been), and some may not be common in the province in which the game is set; however, with that said, I do think the list is a great list to start and work out (or whittle down from)...

Here My List (Over Inclusive & Some Are Suggested In Works, But...):

  • Bears (Brown, Grizzly, Kermode) **
  • Beavers **
  • Caribou
  • Chipmunk (Mice - See Never Cry Wolf - Wolves Eat Them Humans Can Too) *
  • Fisher (Weasel) **
  • Fox (Arctic or Red) **
  • Goose (Canadian or Other) *
  • Great Blue Heron *
  • Grouse
  • Hare [Rabbit] (Add Arctic If Regionally/Seasonally Appropriate)
  • Lynx (Canadian) - Nice & Potentially Dangerous In Voyager/Stalker Modes **
  • Loon (or Variants)
  • Moose **
  • Owls **
  • Otter **
  • Pronghorn *
  • Racoon **
  • Salmon **
  • Swan (Tundra or Other)
  • Trout (Rainbow & Other) **
  • Wolverine **

No they're not. Wolverines are bigger (about twice as heavy) and mainly live in boreal forests in North America, Europe and Russia, whereas honey badgers live in a tropical climate in Africa and India. The most important trait the two have in common (besides being large mustelids, of course) is their ferocity and toughness when it comes to defending themselves, their offspring or their prey. There are reports about wolverines scaring away bears from a carcass and honey badgers chasing away lions.:winky:

I do believe honey badgers and wolverines are the same thing, are they not? I gotta look this up.

Nope. A wolverine is a creature that prowls the cold northern territories and will rip your face off if it has the chance. A honey badger is what you hide in your boss's office when you find out they've made you redundant and have told you to pack up your things.

Well... In that case, where can I buy a Honey Badger? (No, I haven't been fired yet, but I do want a raise.)
