Steam Workshop/Mod Support

This game is awesome at its core, but the amazing possibilities that are achieved through modding could make it even better! I assume that Steam probably requires developers to jump through some hoops to allow a game on the Workshop, but I think that this game especially would thrive if put into the hands of the community. Please consider this!

What is your view on modding? Do you think it would help or hinder in sales? I would love to hear the developer's perspective on this topic!
