Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum.

I've been playing this highly addictive game for about 5 months now. I have two questions, at least for now. Is there ever a time when you actually use the quality tools? I have just gotten stuck in the Old Island Connector #3. I can't stoop down any more to go under the rocks and fallen timbers. I found a narrow opening in the rocks near by, but it comes back out in the same place. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Bud, and welcome! Great that you've joined us here. In terms of the toolsets, you'll need them to make repairs on items such as the storm lantern. 

As for your predicament with the rocks and timbers, can you post an F8 screenshot of your location, and perhaps also the opening you squeezed through before you were trapped. That would help us understand what happened. 

Also, I realize this response is delayed, but did you happen to reload your save so you could escape?

Hey, welcome to the forums.
If Patrick replies there's a good chance noone else will, i wonder why.
Does the storm lantern degrade now perhaps? Havent played in a while so i don't know if anything has been changed on that though i didn't read any updates on it.
So before i say quality tools are still worthless i might be wrong and they might have changed it.
But before that, quality tools or the toolbox in general was only "handy" for fixing your heavy hammer, or a non degrading lantern if you felt the need for it.

The spot you're stuck in is a bit tricky to get out, just wedge yourself up against the left wall when trying to get back to the entrance.
