Sima
So in love with this game and just wish I had more time to play it. I've played over 100 hours so far (which is probably not as much as some or most other players) but here are some notes I took as I played the game and some may have already been posted/addressed elsewhere - I'd very much appreciate it if pointed in the right direction of where that is posted: Food and drink stat bars should be displayed in the inventory screen as I'm eating/drinking so as to know where I stand in that regard instead of having to flip between the two screens. What happened to the 'Sleep until rested' function when activating bed/bedroll? Is it only present in the challenges? That's the only place I saw it. There really must be a way in the near future to increase one's carrying capacity. After wearing all fur clothing and carrying essentials, like rifle, knife, lantern, bedroll, etc., I don't have much more room left to carry/haul other stuff. Maybe create "deep-pocketed" clothing modifications? Or adding a 'Work Out' function to increase one's strength, consequently carrying capacity? Auto-move button/key: I've seen this one requested elsewhere and I feel it is most essential. I've noticed how sometimes, when standing by fire, the temperature can get as high as 63°C! Naturally, one ought to get hotter and thus more thirsty quicker. I stood by that fire for many hours cooking tens of Kgs of bear meat wearing all my fur clothing. Surely, some negative impact must be placed. Once afflicted with intestinal parasites, I'm able to eat all the bear meat I can without further worsening my condition. Maybe prolong treatment or hasten weakness effects? Successful hand-to-hand combat, i.e. with wolves or bears: one should get better at this the more it's accomplished. Maybe create a 'Melee' skill? Some are bugs (and my apologies for posting them here; I'll move them from here if directed): It has happened twice so far for me (once in the bear challenge and another just outside the office in Mystery Lake in Sandbox) that wildlife just simply disappeared right in front my eyes: Sometimes wildlife would move on the spot, i.e. the limbs would be in a walking motion but they would be 'moving' in the same spot, as if they were on a treadmill. I'll try to keep my thoughts/suggestions coming in as and when they come up during gameplay.
Nasdaq401
I agree with all of this!
Wastelander
Auto-move would definitely be a nice addition, since I like to keep a hot cup of tea near me when playing on my Pilgrim save, and since I'm left-handed and the W-key is naturally on the left of my keyboard, this would make the game a bit more comfortable. I also definitely agree on the melee skill. I do european early middle ages swordfighting with some friends, and we noticed that after a few months you get a LOT better at this - finding weaknesses in shield defense, outmaneuvering your opponents, dirty tricks (we go full contact, so basically everything is allowed) - and wolves don't parry. I do agree with what Hinterland did with bears though, these are tough and should not be trifled with. If you get into melee range with a bear, you should suffer. A lot. So, I wouldn't know what happens beyond the bear challenge, but I definitely agree that melee fighting a bear should be a much more life threatening situation than a "little" wolf. Wastelander
We don't have bears in Germany anymore, so I'm not an expert on this, but don't bears also have quite impressive 'armor'? As in, really thick and tough skin and fur that would be difficult (but not impossible) to penetrate with a knife?
