Relo
I know that there has been lots of discussion regarding the sprain algorithm and I don't have any issues with the getting injured part, but I just recently took a tumble and sprained my wrist. I decided to keep walking as I was somewhat near shelter and it was late enough in the afternoon that I thought I could hold out til I got back to base and then in the evening sleep myself back to health. I had a little bit of an uphill walk left to go to make it shelter, when I fell yet again this time injuring both an ankle and my other wrist. by this time the weather had changed and then the mother of all white out blizzards was pushing against me so hard that I was barely making any headway and the wind chill factor started to drop my condition dramatically, so I ended up taking 6 pain killers at once to heal up... but I made it. So, that got me to thinking, If I just popped 6 pills you'd think that I should be getting pretty well sedated and probably would be falling asleep as a result. Not necessarily a good thing unless you're in a safe environment. But what if a player doesn't have pills or tea? then what? that's bad news no matter how you view it. What about bandaging and splinting? Or a combination of bandaging/splinting and pills. It would add another layer to the immersive quality of game play. when we got injured playing soccer, we got bandaged, we didn't get any pain pills... okay, maybe a couple of 222's back in the day...
