Random thoughts on what I would add...

So after a year of playing this amazing game and loving how it has progressed, there have been times where I have thought of things that would be awesome if they were part of the game.  I don't know the best way to list them but these are my thoughts...

How about having a way to whittle a branch/tree limb into a spear/walking stick.  Many times my games have ended in the jaws of a wolf having nothing but a knife to defend myself.  I am an avid hiker and it is one of my biggest fears is running into some wildlife that can really mess up my day, so I always have some kind of walking stick that I can use to defend myself if I have an unfortunate encounter.  All the resources are already in the game, and it would be a nice addition to the world of survival in my opinion.

Another thing I think could be pretty awesome would be having some kind of way to gain a bit of body temp by running or doing some kind of work, like chopping wood, to fend off the bitter cold.  It could be some kind of benefit if done properly, but it could backfire as doing too much could cause you to sweat a lot and that kind of thing could dampen your clothes and make you lose more body temp if you abuse it too much.

I think being able to craft some kind of snow shoes would be a nice addition as well.  I can remember the time I spend in February in the mountains of Montana and the fact I had snow shoes made travel a whole lot easier to manage.  I don't think I would have made it as far as I did if I hadn't had those snow shoes and I know you can craft them easy enough with some sticks, line from cured gut, and maybe even a cured wolf/deer skin.  The benefit would be that you wouldn't lose as much energy over time while walking with them since they help you to stay on top of the snow instead of sinking in to knee/hip depth all the time in deep snow.

I do have one question that I can't seem to find an answer to, which is, how do I create arrowheads?  Is this something that is coming in the later releases or are we just only able to harvest them from used arrows?  Since we can craft fishing hooks with scrap metal, why not arrowheads?  Am I just missing this part or is it not part of the game, and if not, why not?

I'm sure I'll come up with more things so I'll try to bring them up when I think of them.  Keep up the great work on this game and please (no rush) hurry up and release the story mode!!  Please.... (again, no rush, but yea, hurry...)

Cool ideas! You can craft arrowheads in the forge in Desolation Point, at least you could last time I checked

In the Riken?  No way...  I never knew that.  Thanks for the tip.  I had wondered what I was supposed to do with all these arrow shafts and feathers for so long.
