euklid
Hi there, since some weeks I have realized that some colors are broken within the long dark. I attached a screenie. Has anyone any clue what is going wrong there? Thanks a lot for any help. Jan Sidenote: i reinstalled the game already without any change.
Guest Support
What is your video card, and are you on the latest driver? That looks like video corruption, so I'd like to start there. Also as silly as it sounds, could you double check your connections just to make sure it's seated correctly. I've seen this happen with loose HDMI connections before. euklid
Thanks for your reply. I am using: ~$ lspci -v | grep VGA 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM204 [GeForce GTX 980] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) with driver: ~$ dpkg -l | grep nvidia ii nvidia-364 364.19-0ubuntu0~gpu16.04.1 amd64 NVIDIA binary driver - version 364.19 ii nvidia-opencl-icd-364 364.19-0ubuntu0~gpu16.04.1 amd64 NVIDIA OpenCL ICD ii nvidia-prime 0.8.2 amd64 Tools to enable NVIDIA's Prime ii nvidia-settings 364.15-0ubuntu0~gpu16.04.2 amd64 Tool for configuring the NVIDIA graphics driver I checked all cables to all of my three screens, plugged them out and in again. Did the same to the gfx card. Pulled it out of the slot, put it back in again. Also checked one of the 361 nvidia drivers. All with no result. Cheers, Jan
Guest Support
I'm going to have to investigate this one a bit further. Do you see anything like this on any other game or application?
euklid
I just randomly played some games in my library. I have seen another broken texture like this in Rust. IIRC both games are built upon the unity engine. So perhaps there is some weird scenario occuring here that is related to it? Will try to verify that guess with the unity enggine and find mroe games built on it in my library later when I am home again.
euklid
I fixed the issue. The nvidia driver gives the option to override application settings for Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering. That was set. I disabled it and colors are back to normal.
Guest Support
Thanks for reporting back on the issue. Glad to hear it's been resolved. What version of the Nvidia driver are you running, just want it for future reference.
