Different decay rates in different containers (v.107)

I was wondering why the venison was going bad so quickly in the "corpse container," so I did some experimenting. I harvested meat from a wolf, cooked it and then placed most of it in the cupboard at the office upstairs and one half-eaten piece in the corpse on top of the stairs. I placed these at the same time and when I checked them later, the condition percentages were different.

This is the cupboard (and the drawers keep the meat just as good):

Is this by design or should the containers all work the same way?
