Jolan
Hi - since the update wolves and deer have start disappearing again - its always happening involving angles. So a deer on the flat near Trappers Cabin disappeared when it hit the ridge that runs between the cabin and Max's last stand. A wolf on a slope at Crystal Lake took off after a deer on the Lake and disappeared when it hit the point where it should have changed its angle. I haven't seen rabbits doing this, but I pay alot more attention to wolves and deer (those two were going to be lunchables, ya'know?) I've seen 5 examples so far. random calliope
I saw this today for the first time. I was in Pleasant Valley on the hills between the farmhouse and the hay field. I had just rendered one deer and the one that was scared away by the rifle report was heading back my way. I was crouched and started stalking it while it was headed straight toward me. I could see all but the bottom of its legs as it came up the rise in front of me and it winked out of existence.
BlueJack20
I saw this several times, for the deer spawning near Camp Office in Mystery Lake. Other animals (rabbits and deer) also seem to suddenly pop up when I turn around. This case is most noticeable with the 3-4 deer and rabbits in the area left of the railway in Mystery Lake, between Camp Office and the derailed boxcar. I'd be stalking a deer, and the next time I look around, another 2-3 deer pop up some 300m away. Not sure if I didn't pay close enough attention or they do suddenly pop up. wilkinscw
I haven't experienced this while they're alive, but just now, I killed a wolf right where the highway and path to the lighthouse meet in DP. I walked to the lighthouse, dropped off some gear, then went back. The carcass is gone now. I wasn't happy about the prospect of eating him (just recovered from intestinal parasites yesterday), but I missed out on a pelt, and gut.
Guest Support
We are aware of the disappearing animal bug and are looking into it.
Jolan
I hope they can fix this its weirdly disconcerting - I was just looking at a deer and it vanished. Sort of like it realized the Walking Dead was on and it forgot to program the dvr.
Guest Support
We introduced a fix for this in our last patch. Could you give us some details where the deer vanished from?

Could you give us some details where the deer vanished from? Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I was on Coastal Highway near the Fishing camp. The deer was on the ice on the side of the breakwater towards the bridge. It was in its normal moseying spot. I've usually seen either a deer or a wolf in that vicinity. I was close enough to it to start to see the pattern differentiation on it. If it helps, when it disappeared I went to look for game in the other spot near the fishing huts close to Jackrabbit Island and there were no deer there either. No rabbits or wolves. I don't remember if there were any birds, I tend to tune them out.
