Came upon these brown things I don't know what they are supposed to be or maybe not supposed to be brown? Thought I'd post. (Windows 7)

The one in the bottom pic might be an upended tree root ball.  I saw a couple of brown rocks like your first pic in the chasm entering Timberwolf Mountain.  Among the black rocks they looked strange enough to remember them.
