Text Based Issue - unreadable letters

Unfortunately, after logging today, I was greeted with an issue I already found in another game, Hurtworld.

The game itself, works perfectly fine, I can still play it with no issues whatsoever: music, renderings, controls, all work perfectly.
My issue has to do with Texts, everything that's written is unreadable to me.

This is what happens: http://imgur.com/9xrBLO0

As you can see, all words get a white cube overlaying the letter itself, making the game impossible to play.
I find it impossible to interact with objects, view the menu and much more.

Please help me, as I absolutely love this game and cannot let go of it.

If is of any help, my video card is the following:  ATI Radeon HD 4670

Have a wonderful day.

Our first suggestions would be to verify the integrity of your game cache, and if that doesn't help you, reinstall the game. Information on these steps is also available here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/305620/discussions/4/517142892050420296/

Please let us know if this resolves this issue.

First thing i did is verify the integrity of the game cache, and according to steam, no corrupted files.

I tried deleting both manually and steam-automatically all files and redownload the game, in both cases the problem still remains.

tried the " -force-d3d9" option as well, nothing changed.

Guest Support

The fact that this is happening in Hurtworld as well points to something outside of the game conflicting with Unity 5. Are you on the latest available drivers and have you tried setting the driver side video settings to their defaults?

On a PC? Using an NVIDIA graphics card? You should be able to find the NVIDIA Control Panel (or perhaps the GeForce Experience application - that's what I have on my Boot Camp partition). This can set the settings for the graphics card. For AMD there is a different program - I think it's called AMD Catalyst Control Center.

There are two ways to set your graphics settings. From the graphics card using the above mentioned programs, or from within the game itself. Looks like what Support is suggesting is that you look at it from the graphics programs. Hope that helps point you in the right direction!

Can you upgrade to El Capitan?

Either way I would try to investigate your fonts further.  An overview of the system fonts can also be found thru the "about this mac" menu option. Click system report and scroll down to Software>Fonts - Here you can quickly see if all your fonts are valid. If you find a font that is a problem I believe you can attempt to fix it with the app "Font Book." Hope this helps.
