I like soup. Your character probably does too. Why not let us cook soup with various ingredients like meat, guts (tripe), and fish, and let us cook broth (meat and water, passive task) or even use tomato soup as broth? The calories would vary from what you put in it, and so would the weight. It could also give us the warmth bonus if eaten warm.
