Rusty_Old_F250
Pretty self explanatory, the logging industry in BC used to be massive, and there was all kinds of equipment they had that quite often, just got left out in the woods. (search for skadill on youtube to get an idea of whats out there, there's all kinds of trucks, equipment, etc etc) It would be neat to come across random junk laying out in the woods and a truck cab or a loader etc could provide a bit of shelter. And an old caboose, coach or even a proper old school logging camp car (they're a building setup to be moved by rail) would make a neat base in a remote location. The Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad has a huge collection of logging equipment, including some of the old camp cars from the now defunct camp 6 museum in Tacoma http://members.pioneer.net/~fitzrr/index129.html http://www.mtrainierrailroad.com/ Just some ideas! hauteecolerider
+1 Spent childhood summers on a railroad museum while my Dad fired the old steamers. A few of them were loggers. We even have a Shay! Granted, it doesn't run at this time, but certain members keep hoping . . .
Rusty_Old_F250
Nice!! Someday, I will get my hands on a shay, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday! Shoot, maybe I could build one.... I think the bevel gears and whatnot are off the shelf industrial stuff. Sam
