End of "Revenant Mode" (Hunted, Part One)

So, I completed Revenant Mode (WORLD FIRST? probably not but idk), or "The Hunted Part One" and although it's a very enjoyable challenge, I do feel like it was lacking in the climax. Namely, I was thinking that you would get the gun and actually shoot the bear at the end! Instead, you insta-win when you enter the cabin.

 

Enjoyable challenge, but I think you should actually shoot the bear.

I don't know, really wish we had a leaderboard for the challenge. I've completed it myself yesterday evening at about 22:30 CEST. Guess I'll better write a thread about challenge mode leaderboards in the Wishlist Forum.

That's going to be our objective in the second part of the challenge for sure!

Enjoyable challenge, but I think you should actually shoot the bear.

Maybe they can add that in. Even as a cutscene. An insta-win does seem anti climactic, especially since the constant evasion can be so intense. It would be a rewarding addition to pull the trigger and end the nightmare, or at least watch it happen.

Leaderboards could be added in the final version. Remember this is still in alpha, so keeping score now and carrying those scores over to the final version would be unfair to players who might play a completely different experience come full release.

I'd rather prefer the Devs to reset the leaderboards after each major update than postpone them until the game is finished.

Depending on how you define "full release" - a) release of the first 2 episodes of winter story mode vs. b) release of all 5 winter episodes or even c) release of all episodes in all seasons - it might easily take years for the game to become finished.

By full release, I mean no alpha/no beta. I basically mean final product.

I definitely agree; leaderboards are best if built around seasons anyway, since even post-release patches can change balancing. There should be a pre-release "Season."
