Background Sounds and Wildlife

Right now our world is populated by crows, bears, wolves, rabbits, and deer. However, the forest has a lot more wildlife present even in the middle of winter! It would be nice to have owls, grey jays, mice, voles, squirrels, weasels, and similar small animals added to the game to make the winter landscape seem less empty and barren. Even if the animals won't be seen or interacted with directly their sounds could still be added to the game to lend some depth to the landscape. If nothing else, the sudden absence of background sounds would give you another eerie indicator that a blizzard is blowing in and to run for cover.
