MueckE
Today i played again a few hours and thought about how nice and good became over the time. Than i remembered watching a few popular youtuber playing tld after the kickstarter release and thought: What would they say now when they play it? Suddenly it came to my mind that they most likely wont like it at all because i remembered how they play it and how their aproach is. They will try to play voyager and as soon they got killed a few times by wolves they will stop playing it. Dont get me wrong, i am one of the players for whom it can't be hard enough :p, but it would be really sad to see tld not succeding only because the wolves in voyager are like the ones in stalker. (i never played voyager, but i read it is like that). The best tweak would be to reduce the population so a new player can fight the weather, the starvation .... instead of wolves. For example would be 1 wolf on the mystery lake enough instead of three plus a bear ... I can imagine, if a new player tries this game and doesnt start in pilgrim, he will just uninstall after a few attempts.
AncientWisp
I played a long time at Pilgrim level because I found the idea of aggressive wildlife to be somewhat unreal. When I stepped up to the next levels I liked the more realistic demands of weather and strenuous activity. I’ve wished for an option to toggle aggressive wildlife on and off. TWM
Quote I can imagine, if a new player tries this game and doesnt start in pilgrim, he will just uninstall after a few attempts. I bought this game for my brother and he didn't like it because he died, died and died again. He didn't understand the controls, didn't understand the mechanics, didn't understand the necessary strategy/tactics and wasn't willing to invest getting to know them by trial-and-error, since error spells death in this game. This game is not for everyone. Those who don't invest time and creativity are not rewarded. And that's okay. No dumbing down, please.

I love games that make me think things through, that keep me intrigued enough to keep coming back and trying again. And again. And again. I think Rainbow Six was the last such game I played. It was one where planning missions were vital, even more important than accurate aim and excellent reflexes, neither of which I have in a game setting . . . MueckE
yeah but i didnt ask to weaken stalker, i was justt thinking about the success of tld because the release date comes closer (somewhat :)) It just would be sad if tld is not so successful as if it could be just because of this small thing. What i mean is, after the release alot of youtuber and others will try it (again) and this is an opportunity. For you (us) nothing changes because we only play stalker But now after the update, i have to check out the new wildlife spawns and behavior. Maybe this topic is now meaningless
