Crafting torches

It's possible to craft torches without kerosine in the current build.

The crafting recipe still lists kerosine as an ingredient, but you can nevertheless craft torches with reclaimed wood and cloth only. No idea if this is an intended change, but I guess you should either remove the kerosine from the list of ingredients or alternatively make sure it's really obligatory to craft torches.

Any chance the crafting system was using your accelerant instead?

Nop, I've crafted dozens of torches without any kind of fuel in my inventory. You just need reclaimed wood and clothes. 

Just started a new game in Pilgrim. Emptied my backpack, I was only carrying reclaimed wood + cloth. Crafted two torches.

Ohbal is right. The game neither uses accelerant nor does it extract kerosine from the storm lantern or something along these lines. It simply allows you to craft torches without any form of kerosine at all. And even if you actually have kerosine in your inventory (e.g. inside your storm lantern) you don't spend it during the crafting process.
