To whom it may concern,

I have just returned to The Long Dark having had a break and waiting for the new content.  Sadly when i launched the game to return to my 82 day run I am presented with starting a new game only.  How can i get my saved game back???  This has happened to me before and one of your very helpful tech support helped me. Can someone please help?  I really didnty want to start again ... i was on track for the last few remaining steam acheivements.

First thing to do is to check to see if there is anything in the folders - What OS are you running?

Also, did you reinstall your OS or  change how you long in?
