Aircraft Crash for Story Mode

Not the big freakin' passenger liner that I still haven't found on Timberwolf Mountain.

We all are familiar with the opening screen, 'You're airplane has crashed in the northern woods after a mysterious storm...' intro. My idea is that, wherever you spawn in, the wreck of a small plane (i.e, Cessna 179) is behind you with some menial supplies: a basic medkit, an MRE, a bottle of water, and maybe a new survival knife. Also included is a random amount of scrap metal that you could take from the plane wreck.

However, if this is also implemented, what of the injuries that would likely be sustained as a result of the plane crash? If you start off with a broken arm or leg (or sprained), then I think this would add more realism to the game. Opinions?

A plane crash would be cool but I think the game takes places a while after the "first flare event" because everyone seems to have died and the houses that burned down have snow on them meaning that this takes place a while after whatever happened. So if it was right after the "first flare event" the plane idea would be epic.

It would definitely make the game more personalized. The difficulty would be some of the spawn locations are inside caves, the top of cliffs or the deep forest. I hate to say it but if your plane "landed" in any of those areas you probably don't have any bones left :silly:

Good point. Well, I guess they can just leave you like that: seriously wounded, 25% condition, and scavenging for supplies. You'll just have to figure out what is more important: running or wielding a weapon.
