piddy3825
Got a nice little set up in the Mountain Hut up on Timberwolf, not having any trouble per say, but not having any luck either when it comes to snaring these pesky rabbits! The darn things are all over the place and i will put the snare right on the same path the darn rabbit just ran up and down on like a million times and nothing.... where is a good place to set up snares near the hut? Any help and or suggestions would be very much appreciated. this shot depicts it all.. wolf kill, kinda hard to tell but my snare is right in the middle between the carcass and the fishing hut, lol Took me a couple of days to hunt down enough crates and cure enough gut, but I think I ended up solving my own problem. Pillock
I usually put snares in the grassy bits near trees. I don't know if this actually makes any difference, but it feels logical to me and seems to be reasonably successful. Also, I think it's a good idea to group as many as possible closely together: therefore if multiple traps are sprung, you can light one fire which is within range of all of them in order not to freeze while harvesting the carcasses.
