swissheart
I figured out how to possibly threat food poisoning without any medication and I just wanted to share it. I tried it a few times and it worked but my character was never below 70% condition so I don't know how it will work below a certain point. This is what I did: - eat and drink - sleep for 10 hours (my condition was always at 15% when I woke up regardless of my condition when I went to sleep) - eat and drink - sleep some more (it worked best for me when I slept for 3 hours and then for 3 more. I was healed after that) - sleep more to recover condition You might spend 2 days in bed but it beats dying
exeexe
Food poisoning is treated with antibiotics and requires a dose of two pills. The antibiotics will prevent further condition drain while sleeping. After 10 hours of sleep the food poisoning will be over, however the condition will still remain low and has to be restored with additional rest. Reishi Tea serves the same purpose as 2 x Antibiotics; to cure Food Poisoning. Food poisoning can also be cured without antibiotics. In this case the condition will drop about 10% per hour during sleep until it reaches 15%. Further sleeping will eventually end the food poisoning. The condition of the player will still need to be restored after this.http://thelongdark.wikia.com/wiki/Food_Poisoning You could also have read the wiki
swissheart
Nevermind, then. I thought it might be helpful since I ve been using this treatment in order to save my Antibiotics for when I actually need them (low condition, on the move)
hauteecolerider
Oh, but your post was likely welcomed by those who are unaware of the existence of the TLD wiki! So don't worry, it brought attention to something that someone, somewhere didn't know. And now more people know there is a wiki! It's not on the level of the Elder Scrolls wiki, though, so more information is always welcomed!
Dirmagnos
You dont really need to sleep to cure food poisoning, per se. Its a condition that is on a timer and without antibiotics its 16 hours, with antibiotics its 10 hours. But once time is up it will go away on its own. Main problem and cause of most deaths is greatly accelerated drain of tiredness, that combined with relatively low minimal condition for food poisoning and no condition restoration from sleep, can be lethal if player is reckless.
