Bear aggroed on me through mountain and cliff

I was on my way to the top of the world (the plane) when I decided to take a goodnight sleep next to a skeleton. Next thing I know, this goddamn bear attacked me (and made me unable to look at the screen while sleeping for multiple nights, just 'cos of the trauma) which I had passed by and which should have been at lower level. By looking the trails it shows that it 'came' through the mountain:

The place can be seen when looking down from the point where you can place a rope right after coming down from the plane's location. The bear was on the lower level (valley?), from which you hike up by a curve.

Sleeping next to a skeleton (especially if it's a deer) is not a good idea because apparently that is where the bears spawn. Caves with skeletons are where they go to sleep at night. Yes, TLD bears sleep at night, just like us humans do . . .

Clearly the bear was just trying to cuddle and doing it horribly wrong

Yeah that looks like a bear den. The tracks are not always accurate, so it's not a for sure indication that it came through the wall. It looks like the bear completed it's rounds then came back to the den to find you in it's house.

Looks like he had a fire lit.  Shouldn't that have kept the bear out?

Not if it went out while he was sleeping.

Currently, a fire is not a 100% guarantee deterrent.

The fire wasn't on at night.

Alright so if the tracks aren't 100% sure marker and there hasn't been indication of other cases then let's call it solved.
