Fuarian
I was playing on stalker mode and lit a campfire. I had it running pretty well but I would still lose temperature. I had all my (terrible) starter clothes on. I was just sitting next to the fire hoping to warm up but instead I kept getting colder eventually until freezing where I couldn't warm up and started to lose condition. I understand it's something to do with stalker mode and the air temperature compared to the fire temperature. Again, I had added 4 peices of reclaimed wood and a couple sticks to the fire aswell and while I was cooking meat and water my cold just plummeted. It seems more like a bug to me. SteveP
Depends, what was the outside temperature and the windchill numbers and the fire bonus temperature? If all the various clothing bonus and fire bonus don't yield a temperature above 0C then you would still be freezing. I do not know the temperature minimums this game can subject you to but a -60C temperature takes a lot of sticks of firewood. Were you on TWM? Freaky cold there. Guest Support
Do you happen to know what the weather conditions were in this this scenario? If the temperature is low enough a simple fire made from reclaimed wood won't keep you warm. If you were on stalker this is likely expected. exeexe
You need to do the following equation: Air temperature - temp from wind + temp from clothes + temp from windbreak on clothes + temp from fire + temp from food and drinks > 0C
selfless
You don't need to do math, the game does it for you. Its called Feels-Like and is visible on the survival page. Feels-Like temperature greater than freezing = warm up. Feels like temperature less than freezing = stay cold/get colder. The greater the difference between freezing an Feels-Like, the faster the warm up/cool down occurs.
