question on story mode

so, when story mode finally comes out, i understand that people who have the alpha sandbox will get season 1 content for free. but, after season 1, will we have to purchase further episodes / seasons? or will we just get the whole rest of the game for free in updates when new episodes come out? and if we have to pay, then how will the story mode be charged? will it be charged by episode or by season?

Season One is the winter setting we are all currently testing/playing.  Season Two, if it is ever made, would be Spring and probably a completely separate game not DLC or direct continuation of the eventual first season release.  Separate purchase is intended for Season Two.  Again, if it is ever made.

Season One is intended to release its story in periodic episodes.  So, not all at once.  But they all blend together as updates to the same program.  Owning the original TLD will grant access to all those updates.  I guess there is some wiggle-room for the studio if they chose to offer side content to the original story.  That could be released as additionally sold DLC.  But I think they were pretty clear on all episodes of the first season of the original story arc being included in the one time purchase (or pre-purchase) of the original game.
