Instant Death by Falling, Flat Ground

I was exploring the outer edge of the Mystery Lake map, and happened upon this cliff side.  A few steps forward from where the attached screenshot was taken, my character was instantly killed.  The exact message is, "You died from massive internal injuries after falling."  Also attached is the output log, if it has any relevance.

From reading around on the forum and steam, this seems similar to the kill box found in the Ravine map.  However, similar outcrops around the edge of Mystery Lake caused no issues for me.  Therefore, I do not believe this to be by design, at least in the Lake region.

This originally happened on a save that was 30 days in, and I was easily able to replicate it on a second save.
