Targeting (?) bug

I couldn't pick up firewood from chopped piece of wood. I don't know why it happened, but I've experienced the same thing few days ago when I've killed a wolf with an arrow on the edge of a hill. Wolf was slightly above ground, I could see an arrow underneath him but I couldn't pick it up and it disappeared before next day.

As you can see below I've tried to pick it up from many different angles, also at 35-36s you can see targeting dot indicating that I can pick something up (that's why I kept coming back for it:)). Happened only 2 times over my 50h played but in game with permadeath every bug can be gamechanging.

I have seen a similar problem. I think I reported it here before. Object placement seems to be off especially near trees.

This is a known issue and is something we're working to resolve - Collision around trees can be slightly larger then the trees, resulting in items that are spawned near them to sometimes become stuck.
