A deer stole my only arrow head, will I ever get it back?

Yes, I know that somewhere else in this big world I will be able to forge them. At the moment I have explored mystery lake only (13% I think) and the exteriors of the Dam in another savegame. That arrow head was gold!

This is what happened: I was practicing deer hunting near the Camp Office, I missed everytime, then a deer started to run towards me and I was able to shot at him. He runned away and I lost his tracks (I suck).

My question: will the game destroy the arrowhead or it will popup somewhere in the snow/corpse?

If animal was bleeding(was there a blood trail or not) then it most likely died somewhere some times later. So youd have to find a corpse to recover your arrowhead, you have a bout 3-4 days to do that be4 corpse despawns.

If it wasnt bleeding, and you(or wolf) wont kill that deer, then you can say your arrowhead goodbye. I believe that animals despawn/respawn when needed, but your arrow wont be spawning back.

If your arrow did indeed hit the deer then it will have run a while with the arrow stuck in it then died. Even if the corpse has completely rotted away the arrow will be where the deer died.

I know this to be true because the same thing happened with me, but with a wolf.

Yes, now I've got it better in another save.
