Striker
Jumping: Not that it's needed but it would be nice to have the ability to jump. Even if the game mechanic wouldn't allow you to jump onto anything. I think having the ability to jump makes you feel more in control, if that makes any sense. Not being able to jump feels like a restriction in a game that has so much open world and first person immersion. Having that ability there would feel like you had more freedom and control over your character even if it didn't effect the game play. That's my 2 cents
Dirmagnos
No to jumping, yes to ability to climb over/on low obstacles. And theres plenty of good games that do not allow jumping. And in real world you dont jump over logs(if you cant step over them), you climb over them, carefully.
Striker
Option to step up/onto/over then? That makes sense. What I am getting at is even if the jumping feature doesn't effect the game it would add a level of realism to the game which makes for better immersion. It's not that you need to jump, it's that you want to know that you can because you can in real life even if you don't need to. It's all about immersion. Dirmagnos
Well, standing in front of a 10cm impassable ledge like a complete idiot and being unable to climb on it, do makes me feel like, well, an idiot.
vancopower
Yes to jumping, but no to high jumping jumping could help when you are stuck between two rocks it happens to me all the time especially in TM when I want to get down fast. Or climb over is fine just to get unstuck. Yes jumping is fun no it will not be fun in this game.
rune
Not being able to jump was one of the first things I noted about gameplay, but it really isn't an issue. I mean, when was the last time you jumped in real life? +1 to @Dirmagnos's suggestion, but I can't think of a scenario where it would be applicable in the game.
