Fuarian
I think that when we play our characters should do a lot more grunting. I remember back in the day when you walked into a cabin from the outdoors you would start to pant. Like if you walk in from a blizzard or something. Or walking up steep hills or staircases. Y'know, realistic stuff.
hauteecolerider
Why would you pant when you come inside from outside? Breathing a sigh, yes. Inhaling deeply, yes. But panting? That's more associated with exertion. We are not dogs, we cool off by sweating, and to facilitate that we ought to be removing all our furs. Just sayin' Regardless, I do agree that I would like to hear more from my protagonist as I move through the environment. Yesterday I was spooked by a panicked bear while exploring Desolation Point on Pilgrim Mode. He came up from behind me and nearly ran me over as I was picking up a stick. I almost dropped my laptop I jumped so high! And the word that came out of my mouth is not one I use often, especially in polite company such as this . . . In terms of stepping in from a blizzard, I would say it all depends on your condition. If you just make it indoors after a long sprint through the wind and snow, your character will reflect that in their breathing.
Hatchet
I play this game with headphones on sound to a nice decibel, sometimes i'm so in the moment not only the sound of a sudden wolf gets me 10cm up in the air, also the sounds of the woman screaming gives me jumpscares XD I like that very much, what i don't like is the mail his gruntig, can't get myself to play for longer than a couple of in-game days with this dood, believe me i tried! Good thing there is choice, choice c'est très importante!
