SteveP
19 minutes ago, Patrick Carlson said: Other than being another calorie source, do you see other uses for additional plants ect.? There are hundreds of medicinal plants to be found in the North West coastal rain forest. I have a detailed book on it however it would take weeks to list them all and their uses. Bracken fern is a food source but not in winter. In winter, about all you can find is bark and nuts like pine nuts. It's a very difficult environment to survive in. Fortunately we are well ahead of the curve in TLD with plentiful supplies, weapons and ammunition as well as wild life we can approach easily. illanthropist
Variety is good but then you have to nerf other stuff to compensate. 4 hours ago, Patrick Carlson said: Other than being another calorie source, do you see other uses for additional plants ect.? I previously mentioned on here the possibility of using birch bark and old mans beard for wound dressings and perhaps match containers to extend their lifespan. Chaga or horses hoof fungus in very short supply could possibly be used as a coal/slow match to carry fire for a number of hours preserving matches, with some RNG of it being extinguished in bad weather, predator attacks, ankle/wrist sprains... hauteecolerider
If there was an intact glasshouse and enough sunny days, maybe . . . I am with you on the tea, regardless! Not English here, either, I merely speak the language. Sort of.
